ALL ABOUT CONCEALERS PLUS+ TOJU FOYEH!!!!
Hey! Hope you all had a fab weekend! and are having a great week! I used to have interesting weekend stories…but now, I don’t! I spent most of my weekend, resting, trying to replace all my dead cells in order to bounce back with a bang! So here I am stronger than I will ever be!

Being a football fan, an arsenal fan specifically, it wasn’t such a good football weekend…o well! I am over it… and it has come to the time where I lay all my worries aside and talk fashion…or should I say beauty and fashion!

Fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand, so I will be posting articles on beauty once in a while, and today happens to be one of those days!

Make-up does so many for us women….it enhances our beauty and it also conceals our flaws! This article is all about concealers; how to apply one and the top ten concealers.Enjoy!

Are you applying concealer correctly?

Pat, don't rub concealer under your eyes where dark, under eye circles appear. I find it's best to use your middle finger. Concealer is not a product to scrimp on and it's important to find the right match for your skin tone. Try before you buy at the beauty counters.

The best concealers work undercover without anyone noticing them. Here you'll find the top 10 concealers in a variety of formulations: Concealers to cover redness, under-eye circles, pimples & even body flaws. Here are picks for top concealers:

1. Conceal Redness: Laura Mercier secret Camoflage
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage completely camouflages dark circles, minor imperfections & discolorations.
We love this concealer because it smartly comes in 2 shades(one to match the skins depth of colour & one to match the skins undertone) so you can blend your perfect match (you may notice you need different shades for different seasons). InStyle magazine made it a 'Best Beauty Buy' for '06, because the pros say its yellow undertones help make it the best concealer for covering up redness. 'It even works on broken veins,' one makeup artist claimed.
Note:

-High level of pigment requires very little product to achieve complete coverage
-Always apply after foundation

2. World's Most Popular Concealer; YSL's Touche Eclat
One of Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Eclat concealers is sold every 20 seconds around the world.

3. Best Inexpensive Concealer: L'Oreal Paris True Match
The formula mimics your skin's texture, plus it's super-blendable, practically disappearing onto the skin surface. You'll love the lightweight, creamy texture. But it does cover-up as well.

4. Best Concealer for Body: Dermablend Cover Creme This remarkable product easily conceals any facial imperfection, such as:
Sores
Cuts
pimples
veins on legs & body.
Scarring
Freckles
Bruises
Burn scars
Spots and birthmarks
Age spots
Rosacea
Vitiligo
For complete, natural-looking coverage, nothing compares to Dermablend’s Cover Creme. Recommended by dermatologists, endorsed by Hollywood actors, models and make-up artists, Directions For Use:Select the Cover Crème shade closest to your skin tone by matching your jaw bone. Apply to the palm of your hand and using a circular motion warm and soften with fingertips; then apply to moisturized skin in a dab-pat motion.

Runner up: MAC Face and Body Foundation

5.Best Highlighter: laura Mercier's Secret Brighter
Use this to conceal dark circles and discolorations. The wand can also be used on the browbone as a highlighter. It will magically make eyes look more awake, wider.

6. Best Pimple Concealer: Dermablend Smooth Inteligence Concealer
Just a little bit of this 'grand dame' of concealers does the job, according to InStyle magazine, which named this a best beauty buy for 2006. But leave this concealer for your pimples only. You'll want a lighter, creamier formula for under your eyes.

7.Best Illuminator: Gurelain Perfect Light Illuminator
Illuminators have the amazing ability to make your skin look 10 times better than it does. They're rather new & a makeup artist favourite. What we love about them is how they camouflage like a concealer while adding flattering highlights to the face. (Illuminators are tinged with shimmery gold specks). Ladies Home Journal beauty editors suggest you dab it on your cheekbones, browbone or above your cupid's bow.

Cheaper version: Estee Lauder Ideal Light Illuminator

8. Best Concealer to Cover up Under-Eye circles: Sue Devitt Automatic Camoulflage
To cover dark circles under eyes, you need a yellow or peach-tone concealer.

Runners up: Stila Eye Concealer

9. Benefit Lemon Aid Concealer:
We also hear great things about Cle de Peau Beaute, a favorite of makeup artists and a winner several years in a row in InStyle Best Beauty Buys issue.

10.Best Basic Under Eye Concealer; Bobbi Brown
A moist formula, such as Bobbi Brown's creamy concealer won't highlight fine lines & wrinkles, while still providing enough cover for dark circles

LET ME RE-INTRODUCE THE LABEL 'TOJU FOYEH'

GREAT MINDS really do think alike, I have been preparing a post on an emerging label ‘Toju foyeh’….and coincidentally, Bella had too!!!...she even beat me to it! Anyway, here are additional photos and information about her label.

She discovered from a young age her passion for fashion and her desire to lay her footprints in the Nigerian fashion industry; ‘Ever since I was little, designs and fashion always intrigued me. My mum used to sew a (long) while ago. When I was younger, seeing her literally bring fabric to life really inspired me. I still remember the first time she allowed me to pick out my own cloth and design. It was then I knew I wanted to go commercial.’

She believes what differentiates her label is the classy/sassy look it always incorporates whether using traditional Ankara or rich silk. In addition, the way her designs appeal to both young and old ladies.
She recognises the desire for Young and old ladies to look good and believes her designs do exactly that!

Her dream for her label ‘Toju Foyeh’ is to make it synonymous with other top high Fashion Nigerian designers such as Deola Sagoe for example and she is also considering expanding into footwear and accessories. Good luck to her!

My verdict:
'In her collection, she displays the essence of femininity. Her designs speak ultra sexy, super confident. The use of a wide range of bright colours and bold prints (organic and Ankara) emphasizes this! The beauty in the designs is in the clean cuts and the attention to detail.'

That’s all folks, I am going to be a doing a Man day sometime this week, and the post won’t be about fashion. Yes! It will be an insight into the mind of a woman! Yes! So read on! Need advice on anything fashion and beauty related, it is naijafashionfreak@gmail.com See you when I see you and remember to always keep your fashion freak on!

Yours' Stylishly,

naijafashionfreak.

That's not true...I've personally seen it on dark toned models and it worked just as well. For proof you can check out the pics for the imperial acs cultural show a couple of weeks ago or the ones for the Vals ball last weekend.
